Do I need a unique login for each user on my SpecConnect account?
While it is not technically necessary to use a unique login for each user on your SpecConnect account there are some subtle advantages for utilizing unique logins:
- Dashboards and custom reports (including disease and insect model reports) are login-specific (although it is possible to share custom reports amongst users within a specific customer account).
- Multiple users are able to receive customer-specific notifications, e.g., expiration notices.
- Pop-up service bulletins (e.g., maintenance and release notifications) are login-specific. Using a shared login may prevent some users from receiving important service-related notifications.
- Having multiple logins helps simplify user management when, say, individual access to your account needs to be updated.
- Sharing a login amongst multiple users makes it difficult to track down possible issues or problems related to a specific user. This is particularly relevant for issues related to use of the mobile apps.
