Why am I not receiving SMS alerts for which my phone number is configured within SpecConnect?
There are a few reasons why you may not be receiving SMS notifications that you are expecting from SpecConnect. The obvious reasons are things like:
- Your phone number is misconfigured (e.g., wrong phone number)
- The alert for which your number is configured has been disabled
- Your device subscription has expired
- Your phone number has not opted-in to receive SMS alerts from SpecConnect (see below)
It sometimes happens that a phone number is configured for a region that SpecConnect has not previously serviced. These issues are usually rectified automatically within a couple of business days, but if you suspect that this situation could apply to you, please contact Spectrum support or your sales representative.
How do I opt-in to receive SMS alerts from SpecConnect?
When your phone number is initially configured to receive an alert or notification from SpecConnect, an “Opt-In” message is sent to that phone number. In most countries, you only need to respond “YES” to this message in order to enable further SMS communications from SpecConnect. If you believe you either never received or lost this “Opt-In” message, simply sending “YES” to +1 630-413-9928 from your phone will enable SpecConnect alerts to be sent to your phone. Conversely, sending “STOP” to this number will disable further alerts.
